Job Description:The Pharmacy Technician is the entry, developmental, and training level of the Pharmacy Technician Job Family that performs, under supervision of a pharmacist, non-sterile compounding, and central pharmacy operations including preparing medication.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the responsibilities regarding medication and pharmacy operations.
Provides home infusion pharmacy services, enteral therapy and other specialized injectable therapies for pediatric patients and adults with childhood diseases such as cystic fibrosis and hemophilia.
Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
Inventories supplies by checking for shortages, rotating stock, and removing expired medications.
Accurately prepares medications and other supplies for transport.
Fills medication trays and ensures accuracy.
Audits medications for accuracy
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
IV compounding experience preferred
CA Pharmacy Technician License
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (day shift)
