Iconic North Shore bookstore in the charming Village of Winnetka seeks a full-time receiving agent/bookseller.
Candidates will possess:
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic computer skills to research titles, use our Point-of-Sale and Inventory System, and to complete transactions; the candidate must be internet savvy.
Ability to stand during shifts and lift boxes.
Attention to detail.
Initiative to straighten, clean, and organize.
Must love books.
Primary responsibilities will center on “back-of-the-house” operations: receiving incoming orders, unboxing shipments, labeling merchandise, preparing publisher returns. Some portion of each day will require customer service and sales floor duties: point-of-sale, shelving, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be ready to learn industry specific software and best practices.
