With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesClinical Engineering (CE) Parts Procurement Specialists are responsible for the myriad of tasks related to the CE Parts Procurement program in a call center environment. The CE Parts Procurement Specialists are the front-line contact with customers to include CE staff / Vendor community / other National groups to resolve the requests. The Specialist role involves functions such as reviewing requisitions from multiple hospitals to obtain proper pricing and sourcing accuracy, and order placement. The CE Parts Procurement Specialist expedite delayed products through outbound calling to vendors and includes investigation of alternate sources and product substitutions when necessary. The CE Parts Procurement Specialists are responsible for working within established departmental service level goals and helping ensure compliance to our group purchasing contracts.

May require on-call shifts for nights, weekends, holidays, and / or varying shifts.

Understand and maintain established departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures such as processing purchase requisitions within established timelines, meeting customer service standards.

Follow standard operating procedures pertaining to working hours, planned and unplanned absences and phone usage.

Proved front line contact for the CE Parts Procurement Center utilizing appropriate software applications and other defined means to resolve issue during initial contact, track resolution.

Review requisitions to ensure accurate vendor selection and pricing in accordance with established contracts, manage negotiations and bids between vendors.

Work closely with requestors to communicate delivery delays and product substitutions

Work closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment

Work proactively to expedite delayed products – effort should include investigation of alternate sources and product substitutions when necessary and communicate those sources to the staff

Monitor processes to ensure POs are delivered to vendor with established guidelines

Participate in meetings / committees, as necessary

Maintain exceptional level of customer support

Participate in department continuous process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum High school graduate required. Associates degree preferred or relative work experience in a healthcare clerical position.

Minimum of 1-2 years of related office/administrative support experience in a clinical engineering or other technical environment required. This is considered an entry level position.

Two years of procurement and or inbound service/call center experience preferred.

Must have ability to work effectively in a large, multi-level, geographically dispersed organization.

Must have proven prioritization and coordination skills, as well as high level of initiative.
