This versatile position requires the candidate to perform a wide range of daily tasks, often simultaneously, to support the mailroom team's functions. This includes operating inserting machines, manually inserting letters into envelopes, quality checking shipping information on letters, and assisting with other duties as needed. Additionally, the Mailroom Floater must have the physical capability to lift 25+ lbs as part of their responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:
Operating Inserting Machines: Operate and maintain inserting machines to efficiently process and prepare mailings. Ensure the machines are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operation.
Manual Letter Insertion: Hand-insert letters and documents into envelopes accurately and efficiently, paying close attention to detail and ensuring the correct contents are included.
Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality checks on shipping information, ensuring that all mailings are accurate, complete, and meet our quality standards. Address any discrepancies or errors promptly.
Assist with Additional Duties: Be adaptable and willing to assist with various mailroom tasks as required, including sorting incoming and outgoing mail, organizing supplies, and providing support to other team members during peak workloads.
Physical Requirements: Safely lift and carry packages, boxes, and mail trays weighing 25+ lbs as part of the daily responsibilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a mailroom or similar administrative role is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Basic computer skills for operating mailroom equipment and software.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical fitness to lift and move heavy items as need

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
