Seasonal, Full-time (Summer season July to September)
Compensation: $15-$20 plus housing
About Us:
We are a family-owned property nestled in the serene landscapes of Downeast Maine. Our estate offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers, featuring cabins, hiking trails, kayaking, and picturesque views of the surrounding wilderness. As we prepare for the summer season, we are seeking a responsible and dedicated couple to join us as caretakers of our property.
Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance: Regular mowing of lawns, tending to gardens, tending to hiking trails to ensure the property remains well-manicured.
Cabin Cleaning: Cleaning and preparing cabins for guest arrivals on Saturdays, ensuring each cabin is immaculate and welcoming.
Guest Hospitality: Welcoming guests upon arrival, providing information about the property and local attractions, and ensuring their needs are met during their stay.
Handyman Tasks: Performing maintenance tasks such as small cabin repairs (pipes, screens, etc), painting, and small carpentry jobs,
Water Management: Daily monitoring and maintenance of water systems, including pumping water as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in caretaking, property maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness to handle outdoor tasks such as mowing, pruning, and hiking trail maintenance.
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed, particularly during guest arrivals and departures. Owners will be there on and off throughout the summer and can work with you to figure out breaks and time off.
