Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and managing a team of kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including conducting performance evaluations
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to create menus and specials
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Maintain a positive working environment and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new culinary techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training kitchen staff
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in kitchens & management
