Job Description

DIRECTOR OF GRADUATE SYSTEMS AND DATA STRATEGY, Office of Graduate Education (OGE), to join the leadership team of the OGE and assist with setting internal system and data practices and work to identify opportunities for efficiency and maintaining a robust data infrastructure to support the work of OGE and its business partners in the departments, labs, centers, and institutes (DLCIs) at MIT. Will lead the data analytics strategy for the OGE and coordinate with Institute stakeholders to build a modern analytics architecture capable of producing data-driven insights to improve the graduate student experience at MIT; interact with students, administrators, faculty and staff throughout MIT on a daily basis on a wide variety of issues related to the operation of the OGE, graduate education policies and procedures, and graduate student life; and supervise projects and initiatives, drive change throughout the OGE, implement best practice standards, and meet the data needs arising out of the collective bargaining agreement covering graduate student employees at MIT. Will report to the senior associate dean and director of graduate education. Job RequirementsREQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; seven years of experience managing application systems and/or projects; four years of experience working with the Technolutions Slate platform; experience managing others or leading projects, programs, or functions; experience managing or implementing data analytics solutions that provide value to an organization; proven ability to establish and achieve team, project, and/or organization goals; demonstrated support for professional development; strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; and discretion and judgment with confidential information and/or issues.
