We are a fast-growing management firm seeking a full time handyman to join our team.
The candidate must have a wide range of technical know-how and manual dexterity to tackle a variety of tasks. They must be able to work with their hands, operating both hand and power tools. As such, they must be trained on the proper techniques for using tools like hammers, drills, wrenches, saws and other similar tools to make repairs. When it comes to technical knowledge, they must possess a working knowledge of basic household items like appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and any other piece of equipment that can be found in and/or around the house. The individual must have the knowledge and ability to troubleshoot miscellaneous issues as they arise. They must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and well-organized.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements
- Troubleshoot, identify needed repairs, or replacement of plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and appliances
- Interior and exterior painting
- Repair or replace damaged drywall, flooring, or tiles
- Maintain and repair doors, windows, and locks
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as rot replacement, siding, roofing, concrete repairs, clean gutters, building shelves or installing cabinets
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used
Skills:
- Proven experience as handyman
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Experience working with commercial HVAC systems is a plus, but not required
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
