Position: Dishwasher
Dishwasher Objective: To provide efficient and effective support for the kitchen staff by ensuring all dishes and utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for use.
Responsibilities:
Clean, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and cookware according to established standards.
Maintain all dishwashing equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order.
Separate and remove food scraps from dishes and utensils before washing.
Sort, soak, and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
Operate dishwashing machines to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in appropriate storage areas.
Clean and sanitize workstations, floors, walls, and other areas as assigned.
Ensure all dishes and utensils are stored and organized properly.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience working in a kitchen or dish washing environment preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
