Sunflower Montessori is looking for professional lead teachers, as well as assistant and substitute teachers (Montessori-Certified preferred but not required) to join our staff. We are looking for patient, loving, and knowledgeable care givers! Lead teachers are expected to develop curriculum complementary to the Montessori method.
Job Requirements for lead teacher:
- Accredited Montessori Certification preferred, certification after employment also possible
- Must be available to work from 7:30am through 5:30pm (typical shift 7 hours).
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must have BA in Education or related field OR 2 years of experience in a licensed child care setting.
- Must have or obtain Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must have record of MMR and tetanus.
- Must pass criminal background check.
Job Requirements for assistant & substitute teachers:
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must have or obtain Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must have record of MMR and tetanus.
- Must pass criminal background check.
Wages DOE for training and trial period, wage increases commensurate with more training and experience.
