Job Requirements:
To thrive at The Barber Company, here's what you'll need:
· a New Jersey Cosmo or Barber license.
· At least one year of experience cutting hair in a Barber Shop.
· Stellar customer service and communication skills.
· Confidence in men’s hair cutting and barbering, including clipper and scissor cuts.
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and multitask like a pro.
· Being punctual, highly motivated, and able to work some weekends.
· Dress casual or professional! We want you to represent your style.
Job Description:
Here are just a few of the items you'll be responsible for:
· Knowledgeably evaluate the client’s hair and suggest appropriate treatments and products.
· Consult with the client, offering hairstyle and treatment recommendations.
· Cut and style the client’s hair with precision and according to their preferences.
· Provide add-on services like an amazing shave or beard trim.
· Keep the barbershop and your station clean and sanitized.
· Pitching in with laundry and keeping the place spick and span.
· Professionally check clients in and out and get commissions on all of your product sells.
· Fostering a professional environment and building strong relationships with your colleagues and clients.
· Sporting a positive attitude, welcoming every client with respect and professionalism.
· Being a professional when it comes to sticking to your schedule, finding coverage when needed, and following our policies for shift swaps, sick days, and vacations.
