Trustworthy, dependable person(s) are wanted for assistance with cat care for 2 older cats. This could be a temporary, or an ongoing part-time job, depending on your schedule. Mobility issues have surfaced for me that challenge meeting the needs at hand. The oldest cat has some mobility issues of his own. The 15yo has a health condition that required a recent change of medications. The imbalance, hopefully temporary, is causing extra efforts to be needed for care, patience, and persistence during feeding.
Only indications of serious interest will be replied to. Serious interest = responding with a resume or some description about your job and life experiences and skills, plus a few references. Must be fluent in English as there are ongoing communications, instructions, and brief writing of notes.
The job entails “shifts” of about 2-1/2 hrs, more or less, your choice of the number of shifts you can do. 5 evening times need filling plus Sunday mornings. It would be great to have a person who could also fill in midday shifts for someone when they travel for an ailing mother. Some flexibility with shift completion times may be needed. Efficiency is appreciated.
Evening = 6:30 or 7pm – 9pm or so. Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat, and Sun.
Sunday morning = 8am -10 or 10:30am.
Starting pay at $17.00 per hour for a training period of at least 2 weeks, to give a chance for trying out the job as well. Depending on your learning curve and progress in handling the job with familiarity and efficacy, a higher pay rate can be considered. Pay rate reflects job performance, scope of work, experience, efficiency, and skills, and isn’t so much based on length at job.
Must be an independent contractor OR employee on payroll, check provided every 2 weeks, no cash.
Requirements of the job:
Detail orientation, listening well, understanding instructions, and being able to follow changes in routine as new info or circumstances show up, as well as patience with feeding, are essential to this job. This job is not formulaic. There may be changes to instructions, new ideas, and the necessity for being attentive.
This environment is sober + smoke and fragrance free.
Good and willing mobility. Some lifting is necessary, might be for a cat.
Location is 7 minutes from Harry’s Roadhouse restaurant and easy to get to.
