Small but established painting company is seeking professional painters and apprentices to service our existing clients in Greene, Columbia and Dutchess counties. Work includes interior and exterior, new construction and historic restoration. We address all aspects of the painting trade and will train you if new to painting. Our clients expect professionalism.
Personal Requirements:
You’re expected to have transportation, basic tools and are a reliable worker. You need to be on the job every day you’re scheduled to work (within reason). Honesty and punctuality count. We try to schedule interior or shop work on rainy days, whenever possible. You will always work with an experienced lead until you’re ready to take on your own crew.
Experience – Be honest regarding your abilities. We will teach you whatever you don’t know.
Experienced painters need to prove their knowledge of the trade.
Apprentices need to be willing to listen, learn and follow instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to carry, climb and work off extension and A-frame ladders safely.
Ability to carry 50 lbs. unassisted (approx. weight of a bucket of compound).
Site prep includes covering all flooring, furniture and fixtures. Assembling Zip-walls.
Sanding, pressure washing, cleaning, repairing minor damages.
Plaster repair, skim coating, minor taping and sheetrock work (we will train you, if needed).
Understanding priming, use of painting tools and proper application techniques.
Knowledge of residential paints and sundries and their proper use.
Follow all safety and health requirements.
Pay: Very competitive, exceeds industry averages and based on experience.
