Patients are admitted from a number of services including general surgery, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, stroke, Gyn/Oncology, and obstetrics. The SICU has earned the GOLD-Level Beacon Award for Excellence presented by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
