Job Description:
This position is responsible to manage all aspects of Payroll and Benefits to form an integral part in the achievement of the Company's operational objectives. Manage the payroll of a workforce of some 50 full time year round employees with that workforce growing to 500+ in the Fall and early Winter during our peak season. This position is a salaried exempt full-time position working out of the corporate office in Cornelius, Oregon. This position reports directly to the Director of Fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
· Personally administer bi-weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
· Handle Employee onboarding and off-boarding
· Provide recruitment
· Work with Payroll Software (ADP) on Payroll tax and other related issues
· Participate in annual Corporate Insurance renewals, 401k, and other benefits
· Administer comprehensive benefits program, including assisting with Open Enrollment
· Conduct EEOC annual reporting
· Manage workers’ compensation program including claims, return to work, OSHA log, etc
· Prepare unemployment responses
· Work cooperatively with employees and management in a positive and friendly manner. Become a trusted advisor for employment issues
Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish required
A minimum of 5+ years of ADP Payroll including benefits administration and human resources
Payroll or Human Resources Certifications are preferred
Agricultural experience including piecework payroll is preferred
Knowledge of OSHA Safety compliance
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office programs, Word, Excel, Outlook
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to process accurate payroll, produce reports, create forms, etc
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, maintain organized paperwork, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with frequent interruptions
Ability to secure confidential information
Provide outstanding customer service skills
Ability to communicate with clear verbal and written skills
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
