Busy personal injury law firm needs a fast learner who can adapt easily to work pace and job task variety to fill a full-time paralegal/legal assistant position. Will offer a benefit package after a probationary period.
This is a full-time personal injury litigation paralegal/legal assistant opening. Position requires coordination, investigation and management of personal injury cases. Required skill in computers and Microsoft Office Suite as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong ability to type. Position will require good organizational skills and the ability to balance work on multiple projects simultaneously under pressure to meet deadlines, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Must have the ability to handle a case from beginning to end, write settlement demands, communicate with clients, claims adjusters and attorneys, and answer discovery requests. Ability in the Spanish language is a plus. Experience with Filevine database software is also a plus.
Prior paralegal experience of 5 or more years with emphasis in civil litigation is strongly preferred. Prior experience in plaintiff’s personal injury or insurance defense is strongly preferred.
