Overview of Responsibilities:The Operations Manager role includes managing all aspects of operations from utilizing the ERP system, to supply chain management, purchasing, a small machine shop, inventory, warehousing, assembly, test & service. The role is responsible for operational efficiencies, measured via capacity, production costs, on-time delivery, quality & ultimately, profitability. This position is also responsible for ensuring continuous evolution & development of all processes, methods, equipment and people to maximize competitiveness. This is a senior, hands-on role, reporting directly to the Vice President, with substantial contribution to the 3-year strategic planning process, along with ownership of the relevant department annual budgets.Key Job Elements:

Qualifications:Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of successful operations management with purchasing, inventory & manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of modern manufacturing practices such as 5S, Lean etc.
A proven track-record realizing sustained step-change improvements
Understanding of mechanical & electrical components
Strong management and communication skills
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Experienced working with ERP systems
Infrequent travel, both domestic and International, may be required
Preferred
Experience in a high variation, low to medium volume environment
Experience working with Microsoft D365
