Description Candidates looking for full-time work will be interested in Robert Half's Staff Accountant opportunity with an innovative company. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Take part in various department-wide initiatives Requirements
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
