We are searching for inquisitive and energetic applicants who want to be part of a team that makes a real positive difference in our son’s life. Learn state-of-the-art techniques and a curriculum to help our 34-year-old son with autism learn new skills and increase his independence. This training can lead to endless opportunities for you and can be a possible internship. Thanks to consistent use of this curriculum, our award-winning son has worked in real and meaningful jobs at huge downtown Austin hotels since 2007. He truly exemplifies how those with significant needs can lead a very happy, productive, and purposeful life.
After training, you will work 1:1 with him at home and in the community on vocational, social, and communication skills.
Position is 15-20 hours per week, two weekday afternoons 2-7 pm (prefer Tuesdays and Fridays), and a 6- to 8-hour shift on the weekend. Pay rate is $11.50 per hour during training, increasing to $20 per hour after training.
Requirements:
A great attitude and love of working with people.
Very reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and able to work in the Bee Cave/Lake Travis area.
Extremely dependable.
Completely clean criminal history and able to pass a drug screening.
Able to receive and provide detailed information through oral and written communication.
Complete COVID-19 vaccine.
High school diploma required; college degree or pursuit of an undergraduate degree preferred.
MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO AT LEAST ONE YEAR IF CHOSEN.
