The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a software engineer to become a part of our team. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering field
5+ years of experience in software development (3+ with MS degree)
1+ years leading a technical team
Work experience in requirements development and analysis
Expert object-oriented design approach
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold a US government security clearance
Required Skills:
Experience in at least one or more of the following languages: C#, C17, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and DotNET,
Write clean, consistent, and well-documented code
Design, document, develop and analyze complex and difficult software programs
Experience with software test methodologies (unit, integration, etc.)
Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps concepts
Experience with system level integration
Experience defining and tracking software requirements as well as requirements verification
Use of version control software, ticketing and documentation tools (such as Bitbucket, JIRA and Confluence)
Familiarity recognizing and utilizing software design patterns
Ability to implement dependency management strategies
Proficient in DevSecOps pipeline activities: software build, test, and deployment to production
Desired Skills:
Experience presenting technical material to large groups
Experience and/or familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and .NET Core
Experience with GitLab CI/CD components
Familiarity with SonarQube, Trufflehog, PyLint, ESLint, Clang-Tidy Hadolint, Anchore, Twistlock, OWASP ZAP
Familiarity with Terraform
Familiarity with Ansible
