Knox Robinson Productions is hiring an editor and production assistant for help with a variety of media & entertainment projects, but primarily the podcast Labyrinths, which is hosted by Amanda Knox and Christopher Robinson.
Do you have a passion for storytelling? Would you like to sit in on conversations with fascinating people like Sam Harris, Paul Stamets, Joel McHale, LeVar Burton, Jon Ronson, and Malcolm Gladwell? Would you like to help create TV, film, and literary projects? Do you have an interest in criminal justice reform, philosophy, and controversial topics?
The production assistant will work on all aspects of podcast production. These includes:
- Scripting episodes
- Editing episodes in Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere
- Managing the podcast distribution platforms
- Interview outreach and scheduling
- Recording interviews with remote guests
- Creating video promotional clips
- Promoting the podcast on social media
Ideal candidates will be:
- Available to work in person on Vashon Island. Preference for onsite with potential for part-time remote
- Experienced in writing
- Experienced with audio and video editing / engineering
- Adept at social media
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Familiar with generative AI tools
- Highly organized and efficient
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WITH AUDIO / VIDEO EDITING IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.
We are willing to train in other elements of podcast production.
Hours / Pay
30 hours / week with a flexible schedule on days and times. $25 / hour starting wage.
As the podcast grows and reaches more listeners, there will be the possibility for full time hours.
