Note: we are hiring one Cytotechnologist for either Spokane Valley or Tukwila. The pay range differs based on region. Please gather more information, if selected to speak with Recruiter.

Our Cytotechnologist I is responsible for accurate screening, diagnosis, and reporting of cytologic specimens: examine cells for study under the microscope in order to detect abnormalities that may be important in the early diagnosis of cancer and other diseases.

Schedule: Day shift- Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

You Will:

Perform microscopic screening to accurately diagnose gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.

Comply with CAP requirements and State & Federal Regulations including Quality Assurance programs: represent the department during inspection.

Actively participate in continuing education programs

Enter case information into the computer system accurately and forward to proper locations.

Support good turnaround time by working productively and efficiently.

Support department and corporate culture of professionalism, teamwork, and inclusiveness.

Author and revise 1-2 standard operating procedures as assigned.

Maintain current knowledge of departmental SOPs

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Clinical education through an accredited cytotechnologist program

Meets CLIA requirements as a Cytotechnologist & Post 2004 ASCP CT certification with current maintenance

2 years' laboratory and as Cytotechnologist experience preferred

Imaging system certification preferred

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and prioritize tasks

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
