Yakima Steel is a small job shop that specializes in the machining and assembly of small assemblies. We are looking to expand our capabilities and are looking for the right candidates to work on our team.

It would be fantastic if you have some machining experience but if you have a mechanical aptitude and are eager to learn, that means a lot to us.
This is a day shift position. Pay is DOE. Benefits package includes paid vacations/holidays and medical/dental/vision insurance.
Requirements
Any experience with the operation and set up of manual machining equipment and/or the operation, set up and programming of CNC equipment.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
