Nightly Cleaner
Location: North Autoshow Avenue, Surprise, AZ 85388
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday — 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM (5.5 hours per shift)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour (1099)
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Account Manager
Position Overview
The Nightly Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the facility after operating hours. This role requires someone with proven commercial cleaning experience and hands-on experience operating floor care equipment, specifically auto floor scrubbers. Successful candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet high expectations for quality.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years commercial cleaning experience required.
Must have experience using an auto floor scrubber (required).
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and consistency.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Must work as a 1099 independent contractor.
Scope of Work (SOW) – General & Floor Care Cleaning Duties
Floor Care Responsibilities
Operate and maintain auto floor scrubber safely and effectively.
Perform nightly scrub of designated hard floor areas.
Sweep and prep floors prior to scrubbing.
Inspect and maintain equipment; report issues immediately.
Ensure all high-traffic floor areas are clean, streak-free, and hazard-free.
General Nightly Cleaning Duties
Restrooms
Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, and partitions.
Refill supplies: paper towels, soap, toilet tissue.
Mop with disinfectant and ensure odor control.
Common Areas & Offices
Empty all trash and recycling; replace liners.
Dust surfaces, ledges, fixtures, and accessible vents.
Spot clean walls, doors, glass, and touchpoints.
Vacuum carpets and mats; sweep all hard floors.
Breakrooms / Kitchenettes
Clean counters, sinks, tables, and high-touch areas.
Wipe exterior of appliances.
Remove trash and restock general consumables.
Entryways & High-Traffic Areas
Wipe down glass doors and handles.
Remove debris, dust, and marks from visible surfaces.
Ensure area is clean and presentable for morning opening.
Additional Responsibilities
Secure building following site protocols.
Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns.
Use only approved chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
Ensure cleaning closets and equipment storage areas remain organized.
Performance Expectations
Maintain consistent, high-quality cleaning standards.
Complete nightly tasks within assigned 5.5-hour window.
Demonstrate professionalism and reliability at all times.
Follow all Express Facility Management safety and quality policies.
