Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant specializing in plaintiff's personal injury law to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys and paralegals in managing complex personal injury cases, ensuring smooth case progression from inception to resolution.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is strongly preferred but great candidates who are not bilingual will not be overlooked.
Training provided but some experience strongly preferred.

Daily Hours: Approximately 8:00am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday with 30 minutes unpaid lunch time.

Duties
Assist in answering phones and calendaring appointments.
Interface with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
Assist with new client intake process.
Set up client files, electronic and paper.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating medical appointments.
Open auto insurance claims.
Assist with property damage claims.
Order and track medical records and billing statements.
Review and organize case documents, enter into our case management system.
Data entry for case files into our case management system.
Gather documents and information from clients and outside sources for case file.
Draft correspondence and other legal documents.
Directly support paralegals and attorneys with various tasks as requested.
Understand and prioritize client/case needs and respond to clients timely.
Ability to be a self-starter and work autonomously once trained.
Ability to handle challenging clients with grace and a positive attitude.
Experience
Previous personal injury or auto insurance claims experience a strong plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook.
Customer service, phone communication.
Professional writing/communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
Experience with Needles/Neos helpful.
