Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in 4th and 5th axis machining and CNC lathe operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision measuring instruments. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, including 4th and 5th axis operations.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.

Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in production.

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions of finished products.

Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions.

Follow lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC machining experience (4th and 5th axis preferred).

Proficient in G-code and CNC controls (Haas, Fanuc, or similar).

Strong understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, and material characteristics.

Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Skills

Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines.

Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Experience with electrical discharge machining is a plus.

Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming techniques.

Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining processes.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and assembly techniques.

Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is advantageous.

Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.
