Ag business seeks part time (30+ hours/week) Accounts Manager/Administrative Assistant for small water district. This position is responsible for supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; taking minutes and providing financial reports for monthly Board meetings.

Schedule: Position involving 30+ hours per week M-F

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for Accounts Payable: reviewing all bills with the Superintendent to confirm exact class codes and line items for financial reports.

Responsible for Accounts Receivable: generate, prepare, and process Accounts Receivable invoices, posting customer payments to Quick Books, and manually preparing the bank deposits.

Manually and/or electronically process, organize and maintain records and file systems.

Maintain both vendor/customer information; records, and related documentation in Quick Books.

Support general office operations, including answering phones, emails, and providing administrative support to the Board of Directors, Superintendent, and staff.

Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers, vendors, Board of Directors, and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess personal integrity; positive attitude and strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills. Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Experience in A/P and A/R.

A finance degree is not required, however a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write English (as you will be responsible for typing up the monthly Board Minutes).

Knowledge of general accounting and business practices, with technical proficiency in Quick Books.

Ability to use a smart phone, text message, email, and various apps and aptitude to learn new applications and software as needed.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; with experience creating and using Excel Spreadsheets and Word Documents.
