Job description:
Looking for a Medical Director for a Primary Care / General Practice.
Medical Director serves as the supervising physician for one or more Nurse Practitioners (NPs) within the practice. This role provides clinical oversight, ensures compliance with state regulatory requirements, promotes high-quality patient care, and supports the professional development of advanced practice providers. The position may be offered as full-time or part-time, depending on the needs of the organization and the volume of NP supervision required.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
Board certification in relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, EM).
DEA registration (if applicable).
Experience supervising NPs or PAs preferred but not required.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
