NC Financial Group is a boutique wealth management company with several locations throughout Northern California. We offer investment planning, tax preparation, insurance services, bookkeeping and payroll support.

Job Description/Daily Responsibilities: Full-time Bookkeeper and Payroll Coordinator in Ukiah, CA

This is a full-time, in office position. No work from home. We offer health and retirement benefits after 30 days of employment.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a professional with a friendly attitude and the ability to multitask to serve as the face of the Ukiah office in the position of Bookkeeping and Payroll Coordinator. Candidates must have a clear understanding of preparing books for tax purposes. We currently have 30+ clients which we provide bookkeeping and payroll services for including categorization of transactions, bank reconciliations and payroll processing. Our portfolio primarily includes S-Corps with 1-2 employees.

Responsibilities:

● Represent NC Financial Group in our Ukiah office as our North Bay Bookkeeping and Payroll Coordinator

● Manage the workflow of bookkeeping and payroll services for assigned accounts

● Produce and review reports, specifically profit and loss statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

● Check for accuracy in figures, journal entries, financial statements and provide corrections when necessary

● Reconcile clients’ bookkeeping to their bank, credit card or payroll statements

● Assist in preparation of tax returns throughout the year with supporting documents

● Prepare or update charts of accounts to properly comply with entities’ business

● Run payroll as directed by the company/client

● Prepare payroll quarterly and year-end reports

● Prepare and track 1099’s

● Participate in year-end reviews with the manager and tax team

Job Skills & Qualifications:

● 3+ years bookkeeping with a focus on tax preparation

● Strong understanding of profit and loss and balance sheet composition

● QuickBooks online/desktop, Microsoft Office/Excel, Payroll applications

● Can anticipate problems, provide solutions and develop strategies to avoid future issues

● Ability to manage multiple sets of books for multiple clients at one time, switching between them efficiently and correctly

● Good at taking direction and comfortable asking questions

● MUST BE ABLE TO HIT 5 BILLABLE HOURS A DAY – MANDATORY
