Job Title: Administrative Clerk

Location: Merced, CA

Payrate: $18.00

Employment Type: Full-Time (3 Month+ Assignment)

About the Role

Exact Staff is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrative Clerk II to provide high-level clerical and administrative support. This position performs a wide range of duties, including recordkeeping, data entry, report preparation, and office coordination. The ideal candidate will be able to handle complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general office duties such as preparing correspondence, reports, and memoranda.

Maintain and update departmental and tenant records, files, and inventory systems.

Compile and tabulate data; prepare statistical and administrative reports.

Input and maintain data in computer programs; generate reports as needed.

Assist with special projects and coordinate with other departmental staff.

Operate multi-line phone systems, fax, and other standard office equipment.

Handle incoming and outgoing mail; ensure confidentiality of records and communications.

Provide courteous and professional service to the public and staff.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

o Minimum 2 years of office experience performing clerical and administrative functions, or

o 1 year + as Administrative Clerk

o 24+ college semester units may substitute for one year of required experience.

Skills:

o Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related office software.

o Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.

o Strong communication, organization, and math skills.

o Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Hiring Requirements

Must possess a valid California driver’s license and be insurable.

Valid identification that proves your right to work in the United States
