About the Role
We are a drinks-only bar in Santee seeking experienced, energetic Bartenders to deliver exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about cocktails, beer, and spirits, thrives behind the bar, and provides memorable hospitality while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
- Deliver friendly, engaging, and responsible customer service at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- Accurately process payments using POS systems and handle cash responsibly
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with California alcohol service laws
- Check IDs and ensure legal compliance with age requirements
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including bar setup, breakdown, and cleaning
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and bar supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with barbacks, management, and team members
- Handle high-volume service while maintaining quality and professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred (craft cocktails or high-volume a plus)
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
