Job Title: Estimator – Precast Concrete Products

Location: Santa Maria, CA

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour (DOE) plus

Company Overview:

We are a leading manufacturer of a comprehensive line of precast concrete products serving utility, commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors. Our product line includes PG&E utility structures, transformer pads, Redi-Rock retaining wall systems, septic tanks, manholes, commercial and industrial waste system structures, catch basins, curb inlets, burial vaults, highway barriers (K-Rails), site amenities, and various custom and specialty concrete products.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team in Santa Maria. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete products and custom projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or manufacturing estimating, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.

Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates for standard and custom precast concrete products.

Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure accurate quoting and scope clarification.

Identify labor, material, and time requirements for each project.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product pricing, production costs, and lead times.

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and delivery timelines.

Track and maintain records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data for future reference.

Assist with change orders and pricing modifications as needed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as an estimator in construction, precast concrete, or a related industry preferred.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (preferred).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday.
