Our well-established publishing company is seeking an energetic and experienced leader as Operations Manager for our General Office and Administration functions.
This position offers responsibility and variety: management and support for the thousands of daily orders processed through our Order Fulfillment; entries into our QuickBooks Desktop system which summarizes our Order Fulfillment software; important selecting and vetting of potential vendors and support systems: bank services, shippers, utilities, ADP, insurance, etc.

The Drivers License Guide Company is a 10-person, single-location publishing company with more than 40 years of leadership in our field. With our research and publishing leadership in our field, we maintain thousands of subscribers in businesses and in government agencies nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Our operations manager’s experience should include success in a flexible, smaller to medium-sized office environment. Central to our process, is our Order Fulfillment path (incoming orders, order approval and entry, Shipping, A/R payments.)
These orders arise from our three annual printed Guides, and our continuously-updated, cloud-based online reference sites.
Key specific tasks:
-Monitor incoming daily orders from our WebSite and other sources, and review and distribute them to the appropriate customer support staff.
-Assist order processing where complicated Purchase Orders or multi-destination shipments are involved. Contact some customers where special orders or credits are involved, or other special circumstances.
-Use our QuickBooks Desktop system to spread ADP payroll, monitor banking transactions including ACH payments, create journal entries, transfer summarized monthly data from our Sales and A/R accounting software to memorized transactions in QuickBooks.
As a key member of our staff, the Operations Manager is relied upon to convey information from subscriber interaction, along with other suggestions related to our products, our website, or other aspects of our business.
Appropriate skills:
-Excellent Microsoft and 10-key skills; attention to details.
-Positive attitude; comfortable with B2B customer service interaction.
-Dependable; Independent worker; able to make sound judgements and solve problems.
-Comfortable with vendors, like UPS, Priority Mail, Comcast and others where audit or negotiated contracts are needed.
Compensation and skills:
$125K to $150K, DOE
Bonuses, semi-annually.
