Are you 50+ and looking for meaningful work? Join Seniors Helping Seniors©, South San Jose and help seniors live comfortably at home. Our home care agency has a reputation since 1998 of hiring senior caregivers to care for other seniors. We find that our caregivers have the maturity, life experience and empathy to truly care for and help clients be seen and respected. The clients we serve are located in South San Jose.
Experience
We accept a variety of experiences including professional caregiving experience, experience from caring for family and/or friends, and also individuals that have a caring spirit and have been in lines of work or volunteer where they helped others.
Shifts
We offer day shifts and overnight shifts 7 days a week, let us know your availability.
We match caregivers with clients so you go to the same clients every week.
Client Care
We offer personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding), light housekeeping, transportation to appointments and errands, medication reminders, pet care, yard work, companionship, and meal preparation. You must be willing to support seniors with these tasks for the role.
Requirements
- A positive and caring attitude
- Reliable and punctual - our clients need to know you will be there for them and on time
- Criminal background check (fingerprinting)
- Home care aid registration (we help you if you are currently not registered)
- negative TB test
- Clean driving record and access to your own vehicle for client transportation
- 5 hours of training that we provide once you are hired
- Be willing to drive to clients homes for work in all of South San Jose (Evergreen, Santa Theresa, Blossom Hill, Almaden Valley, Silver Creek, Edenvale)
