The historic Tomales Hotel, a recently refreshed "rural-goes-modern" gem nestled in the charming coastal town of Tomales, is seeking a dedicated and creative Part-Time Hotel Operations Manager to ensure a seamless and delightful guest experience. This is a hands-on role perfect for a highly organized self-starter who enjoys both front-of-house hospitality and back-of-house logistics.

Core Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Administration (The Welcome Factor)
Reservations Management: Proactively monitor bookings across various online travel apps and platforms, ensuring accuracy and preparing daily guest lists.
Arrival Coordination: Prepare personalized welcome letters and room keys for a smooth 4:00 PM check-in process.
Guest Relations: Be the primary point of contact for all guest needs and promptly and professionally address any escalations or concerns to ensure a positive stay.
Housekeeping & Maintenance Coordination (The Clean & Tidy Factor)
Room Inspection: Thoroughly check rooms immediately following the 11:00 AM check-out time to ensure rooms are in excellent condition and to log any maintenance needs.
Cleaning Coordination: Coordinate and communicate daily cleaning schedules with our cleaning staff, including overseeing the washing and rotation of upholstery, linens, and bedsheets.
Supply Management: Monitor and refill all guest amenities and supplies, with a special focus on maintaining and stocking the coffee counter at the reception desk.
Operations, Logistics & Reporting (The Backbone Factor)
Continuity of Operations: Coordinate with local support persons, organizations, and vendors (e.g., maintenance, repairs) to ensure the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently at all times.
Creative & Seasonal Decorating: Utilize basic skills and creativity to decorate the hotel premises with seasonal touches, enhancing the ambiance and guest experience.
Reporting: Prepare accurate daily and weekly reports for the owners detailing overall operations, occupancy, guest feedback, and notable issues.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in hospitality, property management, or a similar customer-facing operational role is highly desirable.
Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Tech-savvy with the ability to manage bookings across multiple online platforms.
A proactive and independent work ethic—must be able to manage time and tasks effectively without constant supervision.
A friendly, professional demeanor and a passion for providing excellent guest service.
Basic decorating or visual merchandising skills are a plus!
Basic household skills like changing bulbs and replacing batteries a plus!
