Mr. Mopps’ Children’s Books — Berkeley’s beloved shop for kids’ literature and imagination — is looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized person to join our team for the holiday season!
About the position:
This is a temporary, part-time-to-full-time cashier position running through the holidays. We’re looking for someone who can start at 4 days a week in November, then increase to 5 days a week in December.
What you’ll be doing:
Ringing up customers and handling transactions with care and accuracy
Helping folks find the books they’re looking for (or recommending great ones when they’re not sure!)
Answering stock inquiries and placing special orders
Directing customers to the right section of the shop
Keeping things running smoothly during our busy (and magical) holiday rush

The details:
Pay: $19.18/hour
Hours: 11am–6pm on weekdays, 10am–5pm on weekends
Location: Mr. Mopps’ Children’s Books, 1401 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley
