Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in meal planning and menu development, considering nutritional needs and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand or using a dishwasher.
Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors.
Removing trash and recycling from the kitchen area.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
