Maintenance Mechanic 1 (night shift)

Position Summary: Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery and facility for a 24 hr / 7 day manufacturing operation. Additionally, performs the duties of Facilities Support as required.Key Duties / Responsibilities: Production Support (25%): Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor.Train production technicians in the proper set-up and copy troubleshooting techniques.Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.Troubleshooting & Repairs (25%):Effectively diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems in assigned area (facility, machinery, equipment, etc.)Make timely and accurate repairs, as necessary, during productionUtilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.Preventative Maintenance (25%):Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis.  Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate.Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.  Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.  These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.Housekeeping/Other (20%):Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping up after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.Other duties as assignedAdministrative (5%):Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory.Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperworkEmployees are responsible for supporting and complying with internal and external audits, to include providing information, performing assigned tasks to ensure compliance, and preparing and maintaining evidence that key duties identified as internal controls have been performed. All employees are responsible for supporting and complying with safety and security policies to promote a healthy working environment.
