POSITION OVERVIEW As a Chief Building Engineer with Stream, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assigning tasks to engineering teams; setting long and short-term project goals; negotiating with vendors and clients; ensuring that projects stay within time and budgetary restraints; compiling reports for assigned properties; and supporting the engineering team as needed to maintain standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in the annual budget process. Develop specifications and assist in the solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts. Involvement, with some oversight, of construction, tenant improvement, and capital projects. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, OSHA safety requirements, and Stream Standard Operating Procedures. Develop long-term strategic plans and forecasting for the property. Supervise, provide staff leadership, staff scheduling, counseling, training, and personnel development. Assist with performing preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including, but not limited to, pumps, chillers, boilers, air compressors, and air handling units. Recommend/implement improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an ongoing basis. Implement and participate in energy-saving, sustainability measures directed by Stream and/or clients. Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise and diplomacy. Meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property; shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Oversee / Assist with repairs during regular or after-hours, weekends, and some holidays as business needs deem appropriate.
