Home Daycare Staff – Job Description
Position Summary:
The Home Daycare Staff member is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role includes supervising daily activities, assisting with learning and development, ensuring proper hygiene, and supporting the overall operations of the daycare.
Daily Care & Routines:
-Assist with meals, snacks, and hydration throughout the day.
-Support children with toileting, diapering, and proper hygiene.
-Help with nap-time routines and transitions between activities.
Learning & Activities:
-Engage children in age-appropriate educational and play activities.
-Assist in planning and preparing lesson plans, crafts, and learning materials.
-Encourage positive social interaction and development of skills.
Communication:
-Provide daily updates to parents about their child’s day, behavior, and needs.
-Communicate any concerns or incidents to the daycare owner/lead staff immediately.
Environment & Organization:
-Keep the daycare clean, organized, and compliant with licensing standards.
-Assist with sanitizing toys, materials, and surfaces as required.
-Help set up and clean up daily activities and toys.
Qualifications:
-experience working with infant toddlers and preschoolers
-Strong communication and teamwork.
-Cpr/first aid certification
Work schedule:
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5 PM
