Mechanic position available
Must have at least one year experience as a mechanic or technician in the automotive, marine, or heavy equipment industry or have completed tech school.
Must have good driving record.
Must have basic hand tools and be willing to invest in additional tools and equipment, as needed.
Part time position becoming full time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include the basic repair and service of power generation prime movers (diesel engines)- Performing engine services, minor repairs, and assisting senior technicians with large projects. 90% of work is mobile, working on site in the Ft Myers area. Technicicans will be issued a work vehicle or receive compensation for the use of personal vehicle.
Work is physically and mentally demanding. Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors for long periods on your feet.
Proficient technicians may qualify for training as an apprentice in the power generation industry.
Power generation technicians work in a recession proof field and have the potential to earn over $100,000/ year with training and certification (after completion of apprenticeship).
Pay starting at $20/hr. Technicians with applicable experience may earn more and will qualify for raises quickly.
