Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using open dental dental software.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Keep the dental clinic clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry practices is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is required.
- Proficiency in using open dental software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining medical records accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
