Looking for a compassionate person interested in being a "live-in" staff member from Monday at 7am through Friday at 11am with weekends off in Pensacola Florida. The pay will be $2,640 bi-weekly. We are looking for experienced individuals only who have a strong background in working with people with Intellectual Disabilities. We request that all serious applicants be local. We are also looking for someone who has done Live-in care giving before. If you do not meet those two qualifications, no need to apply as you would not meet requirements needed for employment. The live in will be working with five (5) male clients, all low functioning and some, who are nonverbal. All residents are mobile and can ambulate themselves or wit slight assistance. Primary job duties will be to assist with meal preparation, keeping group home clean, provide medication management, and overseeing group home residents wellbeing. Again, we are only interested in individuals who could interview in person and who are local. We will NOT conduct virtual or zoom interviews. Responsibilities Include:
Teaching skills to promote independence
Supporting community inclusion and integration (this means taking residents on outings utilizing company van)
Assisting with daily living needs (cooking, cleaning, providing medications to residents)
Mentoring individuals to help build social skills and relationships
Provide guidance and support in daily activities
Take residents to provider appointments as needed
Helping residents de-escalate when they are upset
Qualifications Include:
18 years of age or older
Able to pass a level 2 background screen
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
