Full-Time Live-In Caregiver Needed on Molokai
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced full-time live-in caregiver for an elderly gentleman residing in Kaunakakai, Molokai. This is a permanent, long-term position with a minimum commitment of one year.
Key Duties Include:
Preparing daily meals (he is able to feed himself)
Providing companionship and emotional support
Assisting with personal hygiene and bathing
Helping with dressing and grooming
Assistance with toileting and bathroom activities
Transferring and maneuvering wheelchair
Transporting to medical appointments (valid driver’s license required)
Light housekeeping (focused on maintaining a clean and safe environment)
Schedule and Relief: This is a full-time live-in role, with scheduled relief provided by part-time caregivers who cover three days per week. You will coordinate your schedule directly with the relief caregivers to ensure seamless coverage and time off.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20 per hour (paid for hours worked)
Free room and board: Private bedroom and dedicated side of a comfortable two-bedroom, 1.5-bath home in Kaunakakai, including utilities, laundry facilities, and a carport
Formal contract provided
Requirements:
Prior experience as a caregiver preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Reliable references
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
