Assistant Manager – Estiatorio Plaka

Location: Baltimore, MD

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Estiatorio Plaka, a leading Greek restaurant known for exceptional hospitality and quality, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and passionate about creating an outstanding guest experience while maintaining smooth, efficient operations across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in all aspects of daily restaurant operations.

Lead front-of-house teams to deliver consistent, elevated guest service.

Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant.

Monitor opening and closing procedures to ensure operational readiness.

Assist with financial and inventory management — including sales tracking, cost control, and vendor coordination.

Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally, maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient service flow.

Uphold all company policies, food safety, and health regulations.

Contribute to team morale, positive culture, and long-term business growth.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles (full-service or upscale dining preferred).

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage teams, multi-task, and maintain composure under pressure.

Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including cost management, service standards, and staff training.

Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Passion for hospitality and genuine care for guest satisfaction.
