About Our Family:
We are a busy, proactive family of four, with three kids (a college student, a 17-year-old, and a 13-year-old). Both parents work from home as entrepreneurs, managing and growing their own company, which means their days are often filled with back-to-back meetings and creative projects. Our home is well-organized, but with the demands of our business, we need a proactive, detail-oriented individual to help maintain daily household tasks, deep cleaning, meal prep, and organization. We value someone who can take initiative, notice what needs to be done without being asked, and keep everything running smoothly. No pets, but we do require occasional support for errands and vehicle maintenance.
Who You Are:
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual who thrives in an organized environment. You are someone who takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and doesn’t wait to be asked. You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks independently and are open to feedback, valuing continuous improvement. A genuine, trustworthy person with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to anticipate household needs and take ownership of various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management & Organization
-Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, etc.).
-Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services; address messes (crumbs, spills) immediately.
-Supervise and coordinate service providers (cleaners, landscapers, etc.).
-Manage the cleaners and communicate areas that need to be addressed more frequently.
-Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas.
-Support packing preparation, unpacking for travel and laundry prep.
Meal Planning & Preparation
-Plan and prepare healthy, well-balanced dinners (4-5 meals per week, with leftovers for lunches), focus on protein-rich meals with less fat and carbs, emphasizing grilled options over fried foods.
-Batch prep and prepare proteins for grilling.
-Shop for groceries or place orders (Walmart, Wegmans, etc.), prioritizing healthy, protein-focused meals.
-Follow dietary needs and family preferences (one child has a peanut/tree nut allergy, though peanuts/tree nuts are kept in the house).
-Clean the kitchen after meal prep and maintain kitchen tidiness.
Inventory Management & Errands
-Track and restock household supplies (pantry, toiletries, groceries, etc.).
-Create and manage household shopping lists.
-Run errands (groceries, Amazon returns, etc.).
-Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries.
Laundry & Linen Care
-Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry.
-Rotate linens, refresh towels, and keep laundry areas tidy.
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
-Perform deep cleaning of appliances as needed (fridge, oven, inside cabinets, etc.).
-Clean and maintain seasonal items (outdoor patio, garage, etc.).
-Tackle occasional deep cleans (baseboards, windows, etc.).
Vehicle Management
-Schedule and oversee bi-weekly car wash and maintenance of vehicles as needed.
-Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized.
Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
-Assist with researching and interviewing additional household support (e.g., cleaners, vendors, travel agents, etc.).
-Help manage family calendars, appointments, and reminders.
