Seeking freshman or sophomore, Concord-Carlisle high school student, to join our paid school-year and summer Legal Internship Program. https://virginialeelaw.com/opinion-you-want-this-internship/ Internships are very competitive. Students usually work part-time for two years before graduation. Students become part of a network of post-graduate interns and many continue part-time after graduation. During the school year, work schedule includes two in-office afternoons per week and occasional nights and weekends. Students work on personal injury cases, litigation, and other general practice matters, videos, advertising, website updates, plus remote work using Splashtop, and WhatsApp. Some of the programs we use are Google Drive, Google Photos, Adobe, Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Translate, Google Scholar, DaVinci Resolve, and Quick Books.

Student interns are mentored and work collaboratively with other interns. Interns must have interest in supporting colleagues, contributing to a positive work culture, developing advanced skills, facing challenges, and contributing to and handling the day-to-day requirements of working at a law office. Best fit candidates are those who are outgoing, communicative, take initiative and follow up, are responsible, honest, exercise leadership, are motivated, friendly and fun, and are respectful to and enjoy working with others. Must maintain confidentiality. Should have excellent writing and organizational skills, handwriting, and IT skills. Must communicate with and respond quickly to their colleagues via text, telephone, video, and email. Parent enthusiasm and support for internship is necessary.

CC students take the bus to the Concord Professional Center during the school year. http://www.747main.com/ Part time summer hours are expected, in between your other summer activities, but only if you are working with us during the school year.

If you are a school athlete this job is not for you.

Interns and families must be fully vaccinated and boosted, COVID and flu.

Given the competiveness of this position, please immediately email your interest, resume, and include or follow up with writing samples. If you have not completed a resume, email us ASAP to let us know you are interested, and send your resume and writing samples within several days. Students who show enthusiasm and those who send several emails are more likely to get hired, BUT personality match for the office is paramount. Please contact me through the Craigslist email, and I will respond by regular email.
