Drivers are responsible for transporting packages from our warehouse location to the libraries and proper locations. Their duties include loading parcels into their vehicle, using a navigation system to map their route and delivering parcels to the correct addresses in a timely manner. They are expected to provide excellent customer service and always represent our company in a professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Drivers are expected to fully complete their daily assigned routes while providing top-tier customer service to Optima’s delivery customers.
-Adhere to the performance and safety guidelines put in place by the company to ensure safe protocol for operating company vehicles. This includes but is not limited to reporting on road incidents, DVIRs, and notifying management of required maintenance.
-Must maintain cleanliness and have respect for any company vehicles and report any issues.
-They must obey all traffic regulations, proper safety requirements and proper dress code.
-All DOT drivers must maintain a valid medical card. They must follow all DOT traffic regulations. -They must always have their valid medical card on them and follow proper DOT safety guidelines.
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, stand for long periods of time. Must maintain a valid Dr License and DOT medical card some weekends required.
Knowledge and Experience
Drivers should be able to communicate effectively and be punctual and reliable.
