Supervisory Responsibility
Provide direction and leadership
Ensures staff are maintaining standards set forth by WSC
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures correct checking, sorting, and grading of shellfish and other products as assigned.
Proficient in sorting, packing, rotating, shucking, processing, and receiving of product.
Understands and can administer processes for ensuring equipment is in good working order.
Monitors each stage of the processing process, recording each run as complete and ready for storage as appropriate.
Ensures equipment is sterile and processing area is clean.
Ensures food handling regulations and vendor recommendations for processing and sanitation are implemented and followed.
Supports shift manager and operates as lead in the absence of him or her.
Is a leader and role model to other staff
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Passionate about shellfish and the fishing industry
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
Good time management skills.
Basic understanding of principles and processes of customer service
