The Mechanical Development Engineer will work to develop new products that meet performance, quality, safety, and market requirements. Key responsibilities include full system and operations expertise of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), define product requirements to manufacturing suppliers, Mechanical product support on new product development projects and legacy products. This role will entail working in a cross functional team with project managers, product managers, electrical engineers, and software engineers.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Technical expert on Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems in our portfolioInvestigate and develop new and existing heat pump, air conditioning, and refrigeration technologiesSupport business units with the development of heat pump productsDevelop technical product specification and requirementsEnsure product meets all legal, safety, and compliance regulationsHands on prototyping development and verification testingNoise and vibration analysis - airflow, fans, blowersSystem optimization and performance testingData analysis of testing results and root cause analysisEnsuring required certification for product complianceThis position will sit at our facility in Watertown, MA.
